Precision Machining

Precision is Key.

Precision machining is uses power driven tools to remove material to shape a workpiece into a specified design. With precision machining, there are very tight specifications and thus little room for error. Precision machining is often used for objects made up of many small parts that need to fit together or things that need to be very durable. For tools that need repair or restoration, precision machining can help return them to their original shape or state.

Precision machining follows designs created with computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacturing (CAM) programs, which helps with accuracy. Some materials that can be precision machined are plastic, metal, glass, and ceramic. Tools that are used in precision machining include milling machines, lathes, electric discharging machines (aka. EDM’s), saws, grinders, and high-speed robotics.
